Two things you need to do to get started. You need to Administerize the target file and working folder.
If downloaded from the internet or copied from the cd to your harddrive
Here is how to Administerize the target file you are installing (even if you are the administrator let's do this anyway)

Before installing!!!!
Open the zip folder you just downloaded by extracting the files to another folder then
RIGHT-click on alb_setup 11092011.exe
Scroll down to properties then
Go to Compatibility tab then
scroll down to Change settings for all users then
on Compatibility mode:
Check box Run this program in compatibility mode for:
(Click on the drop down of computer that defines your computer the best, if Windows 7 is
not listed pick the very last option) then
Go to Check box privilege level (take notice the items you checked) then
Hit apply then Ok
Ensure the markings on this page are also highlighted (they should be greyed out, but checked)
Hit Ok then
Double Left-click and install alb_setup 11092011.exe normally
DO THE ABOVE AND YOU WILL NOT LIKELY HAVE TO VISIT THIS file AGAIN!!!!

Once the Program is installed you will need to Administerize the working folders ALB. Here is the process

After installing!!!!
Now you that you have administerized the target of the program, you will now need to
administerize the folder inwhich the files are stored. This will enable the program to SAVE
and MODIFY files to your automated leader's book.
Click on the computer shortcut or explorer folder on the task bar go to c:\users, Once there
look in the explorer window to the left and you will find a folder called ALB. This is where
the leader book files are located. highlight this folder without opening and right-click on
the folder.
scroll down and click on properties then
Go to the Security tab
Go to Group or user names
highlight Everyone
Go to the Permissions window below and
check full control
Go down to the end of the page and hit apply (NOT OK, yet)
Go back to the Group or user names
highlight users
Go back to Permissions window below and
check full control
Go down down to the end of the page and hit apply and ok
Now the folder has been Administerized

Automated Leader Book (ALB)
If you have installed the ALB without the Administerizing proceedures ...
*********Read the following in its entirety before doing anything!!!!**********
If you experience errors, then the likely cause is your permissions settings. If this is the case go to your start menu find the startup folder which will be labled "Automated Leader Book (ALB)" click on this and then
you will see the silhouette with the rifle Right-click on this and follow the Administerizing proceedures above.
OR
you can uninstal and start the reinstall from scratch and follow the Administerizing proceedures
Different Op systems may have different ways to get to the Compatibility mode consult your Operating System help files or the internet if it cannot be achieved with my explanation.

Troubleshooting section
The following files are installed with this programs, and are saved in the alb directory of the computer.
AccessRuntime.exe
CRRedist2008.msi
ReportViewer.exe
VisualBasicPowerPack.exe
VSTOR30.exe
These files should be installed in the following directory.
C:\Users\alb
OR
you can just do a computer search for each file.
Before installing any of these you must Right-click on the file and follow the Administerizing proceedure above
If you have trouble printing reinstall
VisualBasicPowerPack.exe
If you have trouble viewing the Reports reinstall
CRRedist2008.msi
ReportViewer.exe
If you get any runtime errors reinstall
AccessRuntime.exe
If you cannot errors concerning VB errors reinstall
VisualBasicPowerPack.exe
When In doubt reinstall them all one by one
Known ERRORS AND FIXES:
The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine
Fix:
Software will not work properly on 64-Bit machine will be available in future upgrade
When you try to save and any error comes up
Fix:
Most likely do not have administrator rights on the machine you are using.
Please go to the top of the page and follow the Administerizing proceedure.
